HOPE is proud to recognize Alice Willis as our December Volunteer of the month!
Alice began volunteering here in September of this year providing clerical and administrative support to our Economic Mobility Programs and FoodShare Staff. She has hit the ground running from the start. Alice does everything from answering the phone, verifying assistance information, to data entry. She is truly a vital part of the back end of our service programs. “Without people like Alice, our programs would take longer to administer. Her efforts and service help HOPE to be efficient in it’s response to people who are in need. Plus she has a great personality and is always smiling- she is a great addition to the HOPE family,” states Susan Dolphin, Assistant Director.
“I just love volunteering because it gives me a chance to focus on others and allows me to serve those in my community,” says Alice. “I’ve known ever since I heard about HOPE taking over the Ward Faulkenberry Christmas Basket Fund that this is where I want to volunteer”. Alice retired from the Lancaster County School District as a Librarian. She enjoys knitting, sewing and reading a good book. Please join in with us all here at HOPE as we congratulate Alice on a job well done!
