Our goal is to partner alongside Landlords providing rental assistance to aid in homeless prevention.  Keeping people in their homes provides stabilty for familes as we work towards self-sustainability and security for our Landlords avoiding the costs of eviction and the costs associated with frequent tenant turnover.

Applications & Decisions

The application for assistance process takes 3 business days from the date the client has returned all required documentation of their short term emergency and the Landlord statement.   By accepting rental assistance funds from HOPE you must agree to guarantee residency for thirty (30) days.

Documentation

HOPE requires all information provided by the Client to be confirmed with their Landlord via a verbal verification. The Client signs a release of information at the time of application for assistance allowing us to verify the rental information, payment history, number of persons living in the household, etc.

Contingencies

In some cases, the Client’s receipt of assistance from HOPE will be contingent on the Client paying a portion of the rent that is due the Landlord.  Please provide a copy of the receipt for the contingency,    Receipts from a pre-numbered receipt book or on company letterhead are acceptable.

Multi Agency Assistance 

HOPE works with over 15 Agencies to address as many of the needs a client may be experiencing as possible.   If a client qualifies HOPE is able to partner with one or more agencies to provide the financial assistance required to get the client closer to self-sustainability.   The Client signs a release of information at the time of application for assistance allowing us to verify the rental share information between agencies.  You will be notified verbally unless other-wise required what the details would include.
