The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) returns this summer to provide seniors with fresh, nutritious produce from local farmers. Those who qualify will receive a $25 voucher to spend at authorized farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community-supported agriculture programs.
To qualify, South Carolina residents must be aged 60 or older with a monthly income of $1,986 ($23,828 annually) for 1 person or $2,686 ($32,227 annually) per month for 2 people, and have a valid driver’s license, or state-issued ID.
To apply, visit https://dss.sc.gov/…/food- and…/senior-farmers-market/ and complete an online application between May 1st and June 1st. You must have an email address to apply if you don’t have one and need assistance, staff and volunteers at HOPE in Lancaster can assist seniors who need help applying online.
